When we were camping 2 weeks ago, we were bored because they did not have swimming or fires, remember? So we went to the retirement community center at the Airstream camp place. Inside there was an old library to check out books. Kate found an old western novel she checked out but the coolest thing was this ugly chair. I guess someone donated this ugly chair to sit in the library because it was the only piece of furniture in there. You should have seen he confusion on the faces of the little old couple when I asked if I could take it outside to take pictures with. That was funny. So anyhow I made the kids bare with me in the August heat in the middle of the day so I could take some pictures with this ugly chair. I got a whole 3 1/2 minutes. So this is what we got. Random, I know.

Tristen has a beautiful soul. You can see the peace she has with herself. She is a beautiful person and I am glad to have know her. These pictures of her really make me happy and make me feel the summer air. They remind me of being a little girl with nothing to worry about only spending my days dreaming.

Here is sweet little Dalton. He was so funny to take pictures of because he wants to do only what he wants to do. But I guess every kids is like that. He kept giving his mom and I squints and I thought it was adorable. This is Dalton just being Dalton. I love the innocence of this age. They really don't care what others think. They are just interested in exploring and doing what they want to do. On a less sweet note, this session I found three HUGE ticks on me. EEK!!! That is the gross part of shooting out in a field I guess. :)

Here are some cutie pies. Their parents are in our small group at church and their Dad is deployed to Afghanistan right now. So these pictures are to brighten his day.

Blayz, Dylan and Lana

I was so happy to shoot these 3 kids yesterday. I swear Lana won my heart. Those curls are amazing! I would love to have hair like that! She is a doll! Anyhow, these three cuties met Stacy and I at a field down the street from our house. i noticed the yellow flowers growing and thought it would be the perfect location for this shoot. I love the natural feel of this and I love the tilt shift lens shots I got. I have played around with the tilt shift all summer but just now I am starting to LOVE it! So enjoy these warm summer feeling images because fall is almost here in Virginia!
