So this is what we do on on Marfa [trips]. One of the nights we get dressed up go out to dinner and pick a spot to take pictures of each other. Not every one shoots every one. Imagine 9 photographers out in a filed of sunflowers right before the sun sets behind a huge mountain. We are all dressed u and shooting at the same time. It is kind of a laid back circus. One minute I am holding the camera shooting away and the next I am posing and being told where to stand and what to do. It is really fun! So these are my favorites from Moab.

Earlier this month I went to Moab Utah with some of the other Marfa [trip] girls. This was a little more high adventure than our past 2 trips. So much that I didn't bring my camera on the white water rafting trip. Ok well it was more like a babbling brook with a few fast spots. The fun thing was that were were watching a thunderstorm in the distance in the mountains. Anyhow. We made up our own fun. Maybe those videos will surface one day. :) So we also went on a hummer rock crawling adventure that was really fun with Moab Adventure Center. We all screamed, got scared and laughed hysterically! It was fun to do a trip together that was scary and in situations we all get to know each other even better. In case you are wondering what we do one these trips, we talk about everything in life. Families, babies, photography, business, photoshop, u tube videos, we laugh so hard, we cry, we learn about each other. I love these women. Each of us are so different but we all come together and pick right up where we left off. We care about each other and that is what makes these friendships so special. I am very blessed to have each of these women in my life. So here are some of the adventure pictures I took over the week. I hope you like what you see!

Well Hello Clarksville! We have been here 2 weeks and working like crazy to get the house in order. Unpacking into a home that you plan on being in for 15 years is much harder than the regular 2 year army move for us. Really settling in and unpacking everything is hard work. But I am loving every minute of it! Josh and the kids and I are happy. There are a lot of projects we have done are still working on and plan to do over the next year or so. We still plan to put all new hardwood floors down through out the house, update the kitchen. I am so torn with my vintage appliances. I love them and want to keep them but I want new counters and cabinets one day. I like my little kitchen. So you will see several quirky little things about this house that made us fall in love with it. One of my favorite things is the retro all transistor radio and intercom that runs all thru the house. I dial in the radio station (and oh my, I am in Heaven with all of the Nashville Country stations!!!) and I can listen to it anywhere I am. Even the kids rooms and my office! SO lets see. Our house is on an acre and so far we have seen in OUR BACKYARD deer, baby twin fawns, an owl, a groundhog named Charlie, 9 wild turkey that come thru almost every day, and a million fireflies that make our backyard a magical place at night. Our neighborhood backs up to the Red River and it is so peaceful and quiet. Guess what?! I can't hear any yappy dogs! :) So here are some pics for all of you that have been asking. Excuse the mess. I will post more soon of our Crossfit Garage Gym Josh is building and our garden we will be working on. I am super excited about that. Ok, I am super excited about everything! If you are still reading this, THANKS! ;) haha.

Hi laura! Just ran across your site and saw your are an army wife ... but also to a pilot! My husband is in the air force and just started his pilot training .. so we have a long career ahead of us, but I am very excited for it! It makes me excited when I see other people (photographers) who are traveling in the military! It is hard, but rewarding at the same time!
