Laura did my bridal portraits as well as our wedding day. She is the one vendor I still rave about to this day... not only do I rave about her but my family is now a huge fan! I still look at my pictures almost daily on my computer and can't get over how perfectly she captured the day! I am one of those brides that "researched" for years and I have to say, Laura exceeded my expectations ten-fold. I would highly recommend her to everyone!!!!!
Jane (Houston Mother of the Bride October 2010)
Laura was the photographer of our 3rd daughters wedding
and bridal portrait. We were a bit seasoned and yet all 3 daughters
thought the decision for their photographer was absolutely one of the
most important decisions they needed to make. After serious
consideration of many photographers, the decision was made to hire
LauraKay Photography. After meeting and experiencing the session of the
bridal portrait, we knew that important aspect was in the best of
hands. Laura and her staff were unassuming but never shy; a very hard
balance to capture. Our nervous bride always relaxed and enjoyed her
moments with Laura and the end result was realized. She was always
obliging and also well informed. Nothing was ever left out, she
captured moments that I didn't even notice until I saw the beautiful
proofs. We had a difficult 2 yr old flower girl that wouldn't pose but
Laura found the loving touches shared with our Bride and her Flower
Girl. The twinkle in her eye with the Father of the Bride makes my heart
stop. The groom catching the first look as his Bride came down the
aisle was captured. Who would have known that her smile came from his.
Laura brings all these moments together and makes the wedding last a
lifetime for all of us. Top drawer all the way.
Having Laura as our photographer was one of the best
decisions we made for our wedding. It was the first thing my husband and
I agreed on, and I'm so proud to show our engagement and wedding
photos.
A lot of the photographers I found were either too boring or too
artsy/funky (I don't know the proper terms...), but Laura's photos are
timeless but still have a very unique look to them.
Laura is also super fun to work with. My husband and I are a little
camera shy and felt pretty awkward in front of the camera, especially
for our engagement session. But Laura put us at ease and made the time
fly by. And for the wedding, Laura was a total pro, seemingly being
everywhere at once and just going with the flow.
Putting the album together was easier than imaginable, and it turned out
so absolutely, breathtakingly gorgeous.
Laura is also a fantastic communicator and replies to emails promptly.
She also personalizes her service and makes the whole process really
fun! I highly recommend Laura for your wedding!

I looked through dozens of wedding photographer's websites before I found Laura. None of the other photographers had that "wow" factor I was looking for. Her artistic and technical ability is top notch! She is so down to earth and friendly. She was my favorite vendor to work with because she was always very organized and fast at responding to emails. I received my photos really fast and could not be any happier. I love looking through my wedding album and seeing all the great moments she was able to capture on our wedding day!

Words cannot describe how lucky I was to find Laura. Her
talent is incredible! As someone who does not enjoy being photographed,
she made my husband and I feel at ease and captured hundreds of truly
beautiful moments both in our engagement shoot and on our wedding day.
Laura was not just another vendor, over the course of the year between
when we hired her and our wedding date, she quickly became a friend. She
works hard to get to know each of her clients which I have no doubt
aids in her ability to both work in an unobtrusive manner as well as
shoot those fleeting, blink-and-you-missed-it private moments throughout
the day.
I'm sad Laura has since left the DC area but DC's loss is certainly TN's
gain! As I often told her, other than my husband and my wedding dress,
she was the single best choice I made in planning my wedding :).
I knew that I wanted to invest in great photography in order to capture the day as best as possible. In this case, photojournalism was the most intelligent choice; as I would be able to share the story with those that would not be able to make it to the actual wedding (including my future kids).I believe it is important to capture, not only the people that were present on that day (posed images); but every moment that occurs. In finding Laura, I not only accomplished the above, but so much more! She has an amazing talent and personality that will translate beautifully into who you are as a couple and the story that binds you together. I think that if you would like to take a decision that you won't regret after the event; you can rely on Laura. Remember that for this very special occasion there cannot be retakes, and it is best to go with those who are known for getting it right. I have been married three years, and I do not get tired of going back to my wedding pictures... they are amazing!!!
